Regarding the contest, thank you all for your votes! Keep it up! Today we went to a BBQ on the shore of the Yodo River, in north Osaka. It sadly wasn’t that picturesque, but it was a marvelous day. Contest Pix (again, #1 is top left, #6 is bottom right):

#5 – the one with the solitary flower burst in the brush. I really like the sense of isolation and independence there. #2 is nice, but there’s no real focus.

That last post was Matt, by the way.

Hey kids you are making me want to go to Japan.
But instead I am busy getting measurements from Bridesmaids.
YAY
I wish I could be there but its like I am really but I am not.
I went to Osaka castle. YAY
(excuse me but today I am writing like a five year old, I don’t know why I just am!)

Hi guys! Awesome pictures (amkes me wants to be on vacation and not in this crappy office *sigh*) #$ of the bridge is a close tie to #5, the single lonely flower. Can I get two votes?

I love picure #5 but it has been fun checking out all of them. What a fantastic way to live!

The white flower, solo in frame. A tough one today, so very many flowers. No offense to the tent or the folks living within.

I’m going to go out on a limb and vote for #6. The colors and composition are very nice. Although you really should Photoshop all that ugly civilization out of the background.

Hi guys, I finally made it to your site…i have a lot of catching up to do! My vote to for #4 (that’s the 3rd down…i think) It’s the best.

You two are hilarious. I love the stories of kids seeing michelle and running into posts or screaming. You are absolutely killing me! And the heart warmer when you befriended that woman who was hurting your bruise.
As for the photo contest, I think you both are neck and neck. Feelings are important is my new screensaver.
Keep on keepin on,
Raquel

Well I prefer the top left, though I have to say the bottom right doesn’t seem all that much to the right. And I may just be reacting to the scenery.
Mostly it all just makes me jealous. IN is very boring and not nearly as beautiful.

My fav is #4. Although I also find #6 very intriguing.

Oops! I just tried to vote for #5, but my message disappeared into the cyber stratosphere, I think. I was saying that it looked best after I double clicked and made the photo bigger. If I’ve voted twice by accident, I swear I wasn’t trying to sway the vote!

With out a doubt… #4. A little off center, which is good. Flowers are holding up the bridge…. birds flying off. I would have liked #3 better if it was pulled back a little to see the tent juxtaposed (yes, I learned that $5 word at RIT) in the industrial landscape.
Keep em coming!!

i like #1 the best

#4 for me this time. Flowers + bridge = cool

#4 for me this time. Flowers + bridge = cool

…and if you are too trigger-happy to post the equation only once, you wind up with (flowers + bridge = cool)squared, which is of course exponentially cooler.

first of all, i vote for both of you for cutest couple ever and i liked #4 and #6 both a lot, for composition.

i like the way the birds look like flies buzzing around in #4. it’s my fave of this batch.
May 6th, 2003 at 1:29 am
i like how in #1 the flowers are peeking out from behind the blades of grass. it has a nice soft feel. so my vote goes to #1!
